Testimonials

"I have met so many wonderful people, knowledgable and professional teachers, indeed a big family."

- Liz Knights, Family Member (FGV 2008)

"By your wonderful teachers and Spirit, I have been shown guides and helpers I didn't even know were there. I have been re-united with my family and reassured they are at peace."
- Lisa Draper, Family Member (FGV 2008)

"I have found this week one of the most rewarding of my life and this feeling was one which was echoed by all attending. I felt this wonderful week needed public airing and I can only suggest that any would-be Mediums would do well to consider attending one of Melanie Polley's courses."

- Published in the Psychic World newspaper, no. 162 June 2007

"Thankyou for all your hard work to create such a wonderful week at Maenan Abbey. From my point it has opened up so much for me."
-Robert Le Besque, Famiy Member (FG: Maenan Abbey 2007)

"The love and feeling of warmth generated, gave me such comfort and enabled a bonding trust within the group. This feeling extended to everyone at Cober Hill. One never feels alone, always someone to join in a conversation, with like-minded people becomming friends. Their impressions will remain as footprints in my mind for ever."

- Ann Webber, Family Member (FGIV 2007)

"It's my greatest pleasure to tell you that belonging to 'The Family' is a source of huge consolation and contentment for me. I have recieved more love whilst at Cober Hill, at 'The Gathering', than I have ever received in my life."
- Lynn Wild, Family Member (FGIV 2007)

"I would like to say again how much I enjoyed the FGIII and meeting all those lovely people, I have never had such a concentrated positive experience spiritually as I had that week."

- Ray Edwards, Family Member (FGIII 2006)

"I like the expression Family Gathering, because if felt like coming home. Seeing all these familiar faces was wonderful. It was the first time for me ever to sit in a cabinet. This special experience was a change in my life indeed. Melly was and of course is a great teacher...I enjoy learning from her and visit her seminars wherever she gives it...so the Family Gathering II was a miracle. Seeing friends again, learning, a lot of joy and laughter, spiritual experiences of the highest level and a great accomodation and fantastic food made the miracle complete!"
-Kathrin Walliser, Famiy Member (FGII 2005)

"At the beginning of the week, 28 people gathered, feeling rather uncertain of each other, and at the end, one united family left, sure of itself and the future. The teaching we received during that week awoke and stimulated our individual pathways in a loving atmosphere, and the support we received was very precious."

-Robert and Judy Le Besque, Family Members (FGI 2004)

"There was a full and interesting programme, we learnt so much and enjoyed each others company. We really did become a family. There was so much love, laughter and some tears. It was very emotional being together and knowing our Spirit friends were enjoying the week along with us...The week passed so quickly and it was time to go home. It took ages to say goodbye to each other, but there was next year to look forward to, oh yes the family would be gathering again."
-Carole Grant, Family Member (FGI 2004)

"Well we had fun. We were in Val Richardson's group and that was the first time ever I has sat in a cabinet and the first time I was inspired to talk by Thunder Cloud my North American native gentleman. The one other very pertinent happening was when a lady stood up from her chair in front of the gathering in the function room and came straight to me with a message from my lovely lady the message was super but also contained in my wife's message was the suggestion/demand that I get a pen and get on with the writing from spririt. This was an ongoing message over the years and had always proved unproductive when attempted. However on this occasion at the beginning of March I struck gold and recieved a message which of course I thought I had made up until I came to read it back. No way was it my way of writing and a word like vicissitudes needed a sceptical look in the dictionary...In addition, since Cober Hill 2005 I have become aware of all the names of my guides, all seven of them, they also communicate through the typing and we are a very happy band that I call my family spiritual."

-Reg Govier, Family Member (FGII 2005)

"What impressed me most about the Family Gathering at Cober Hill was the breadth of activities we had and how they were channelled where necessary to individual needs. Attendess were allocated to the particular tutor in charge of a group which concentrated on the special requirements of that specific group. EG is a member needed to develop trance he or she was placed with the group which catered for that need. Likewise others found their niches with tutors catering for their special areas of development."
-Len Hinderer, Family Member (FGI 2004)

"Deep in my heart I always knew that it should be possible to stay together in loving care with so many strangers and The Family Gathering confirmed that."

-Suzanne Jurgeit, Family Member (FGIII 2006)

"The highlight for me was the evening Melanie sat for us. That was really great. The daily work with Gerry and my group was also a great, great new experience. I could do this for weeks and months, to learn and move forward."
-Petra Martens, Family Member (FGIII 2006)

"One lasting memory and lesson was truly appreciating how unique we all are, and the different talents and shortcomings we each possess, but everyone got on and there was so much understanding and tolerance of one to another. If only we could bottle it and send it to where it is needed in the world! The opportunities that were given to us all to take part have ensured that we have all moved on and grown. I have felt so energised, and so positive about what I need to be doing. Not only in my spiritual work, but in my material life as well."

-Debbie West, Family Member (FGIII 2006)

"The Family Gathering was wondrous, awesome, encouraging, mind-boggling, loving and beautiful...truly, this was a week that will nurture me for a long time."
-Suzanne Lipworth, Family Member (FGIII 2006)

"I'd just like to thank you for such wonderful experiences that yourself and the other tutors provided. I have never felt so at ease as you never seperated yourselves from the students, so were easily approachable. I have not experienced that before, even though I have never attended many workshops and weeks away."

-Clare Taylor, Family Member (FG Trance & Physical 2007)

"Each day, with me, I have the force,
That gives me life, keeps me on course,
This energy, so white and bright,
Creation's gift of power and light,
Will guide us all, to do our best,
Until we find eternal rest.
The beacon, that will show the way,
Is there all night, and every day,
Enjoy the pure unbounded love,
That streams down on you from above,
Follow that light, to your journey ends,
At home again with long lost friends."
-Poem received in meditation during FG Trance & Physical 2007 by Family Member Reg Govier

"Thankyou for the wonderful 'Family Week'. It has been a life-changing experience for me. No-one at the retreat could have failed to be uplifted by the power and love that our spirit friends showed us. I feel priviledged to have witnessed the incredible phenomena that our spirit friends shared with us. I cannot wait for next year's Family Gathering."

-Anne Cole, Family Member (FG Trance & Physical 2007)
